EDILAND MEETING 2025. THE INFORMATION ECOSYSTEM IS CHANGING AND DIGITAL INNOVATION IS DRIVING THE TRANSFORMATION.
Tecnavia sponsored Ediland Meeting 2025 on June 17–18. Thank you to all the staff for the great organization and warm welcome. It was a great chance to share ideas and talk about the future of publishing.
At #EdilandMeeting2025 in Bologna, one message stood out: the publishing industry is moving in a new direction, shaped by technology, artificial intelligence, and a renewed focus on the digital reader.
Traditional models are giving way to more personalized and dynamic solutions. Digital is no longer a side channel—it’s the beating heart of modern news, where today’s biggest challenges and opportunities take shape.
Newsrooms are becoming hybrid environments. Journalists now need broader skillsets: to create, experiment, and engage. Tools for automated content production, smart newsroom management, and multi-platform distribution—from apps to podcasts and AI-powered communities—are rapidly evolving.
Generative technologies are changing how we inform, read, watch, listen, and connect. Leading media groups are already testing AI assistants, chatbots, and automated recommendations.
This shift is also redefining the role of publishers: not just content producers, but community builders connecting people, ideas, and stories across local, national, and global networks.
Internet and AI are powerful forces. We can resist them or learn to lead with them. What we need is vision, courage, and creativity.
